Why You Should Never Burn Bridges, Even If They Can’t Get You To The Other Side
Bridges are a great way to travel seamlessly from one destination to another, but if we burn those bridges we will never to see get what’s on the other side of them.
In business one of the first things you learn is how to build connections. You learn how to approach someone in order to make a connection and what to do after in order to maintain that connection.
But what’s not taught in business school is how to sever connections. Why? Because you never sever your connections.
It’s always wise to hold on to your connections regardless if you like them or not. Because the truth is you will never know when you may need them.
You never know if you will need them
I created so many connections I can’t keep track of them all.
Some connections have proven useful and others haven’t. But just because some connections are more useful than others doesn’t mean they are any more valuable.
In actuality as you learn more about people you build relationships with, you’ll realize is that most of them know a lot more than you initially thought and can be useful for when your aspirations change.
